Slaven Bilic has handed new signing Filip Krovinovic his first West Bromwich Albion start against Scunthorpe United.

The Croatian midfielder played the second half of Albion's match against Villarreal in Spain last week but starts this afternoon.

Striker Kenneth Zohore only joined from Cardiff City in an £8million deal on Friday but Bilic has named the 25-year-old in the squad to face the Iron.

Fellow new boy Semi Ajayi is also involved. Ajayi’s capture from Rotherham United was only confirmed on Saturday morning but the versatile 25-year-old is named among the substitutes.

Young defenders Nathan Ferguson and Dara O'Shea start in defence for the Baggies while Conor Townsend captains the team.

This is just Albion's second pre-season fixture after the 3-0 defeat to Villarreal in Spain last weekend. Today's match kickstarts a busy couple of weeks for the Baggies who take on Rotherham and Bournemouth next week.
