Caroline Flack has risked being accused of throwing shade at Love Island by hinting that the romances caught on screen won’t last in the outside world.

The 39-year-old host of the hit ITV2 reality romance show appeared to be reflecting on the topic of love when she left a cryptic message on social media.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the unlucky-in-love herself star seemed to hint that reality show romances - or perhaps love in general - should not to be taken for granted.

Frackers posted a simple message on Instagram stories which no doubt would have left Love Island fans looking for a deeper meaning as she noted: “Bad news: nothing lasts forever” alongside the outline of a heart.

However the message offered hope as well, as her message continued: “Good news: nothing lasts forever.”

Over the course of Love Island, viewers watch attractive young men and women fall in and out of love over the matter of days while cameras capture all the action to transmit on screen.

Of course, some love lasts and goes on to see couples form the show move in together, get married, and even have children together.

While other romances have crashed and burned once the cameras have stopped rolling - while others have failed to make it through life in the villa.

Caroline’s message could also hint at the heartache that some contestants may feel - as the tears spilled after uncoupling and dumpings will ultimately be left to dry in the long run.

When it comes to love, Caroline is certainly something of an authority having burned through a number of romances with varying degrees of success.

The star has become notorious for her taste in younger men - with flings featuring boyband stars, reality show rejects, and Instagram star personal trainers.

Flackers raised eyebrows when she reportedly dated One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles when he was just 17 years old and she was 31.

In 2014, the TV host enjoyed an passionate romance with music manager Jack Street - but this ended amid speculation and accusations he had cheated with a cast member of hit US TV show, Glee.

Harry Styles and Caroline Flack were romantically linked many years ago

Last year, Frackers looked like she was set to walk down the aisle after saying yes when reality show reject Andrew Brady, 26, popped the question - but they broke up and the engagement was cancelled before the year was out.

More recently, Cazza has been papped snogging AJ Pritchard (who is now dating dancer Abbie Quinnen, and she was earlier this summer linked to Personal Trainer hunk Bradley Simmonds.

Love Island continues on ITV2 on Sunday night at 9pm - while a highlights and unseen bits episode will air tonight.
