Among the many positives to come out of Manchester United's pre-season win was the start of a possible new central defensive partnership.

Mason Greenwood will take the headlines for his fine goal, and another impressive Aaron Wan-Bissaka showing deserves recognition, but there was a notable improvement across the whole defence against an experienced Inter Milan side.

Victor Lindelof and Axel Tuanzebe were given the nod from the start in Singapore to the delight of many United supporters, and they did not disappoint.

While Tuanzebe continues to develop following a successful loan spell at Aston Villa, Lindelof showed why fans are calling for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to build the defence around him as he searches for a new defender.

And fans were particularly impressed with a new aspect of the Swede's game as he was comfortable in bringing the ball out from defence to cut through the lines and start the attack.
