Kishan Reddy calls on Governor

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy today called on Governor ESL Narasimhan here. 


A Raj Bhavan release said the Union minister has made a courtesy call on the Governor. They are said to have discussed the current political scenario in Telangana and at the Centre as also the political crisis in Karnataka. The meeting gets the importance that on becoming Union minister Kishan Reddy met Narasimhan. The Centre has appointed B B Harichandan, a senior BJP leader from Odisha as the new Governor of the residual Andhra Pradesh State post bifurcation.


With this, Narasimhan, who has been the Governor of two Telugu States, continues to be Governor for Telangana State only. The Centre also appointed some Governors to several States. The Centre appointed Anandi Ben Patel as the Governor by shifting her from Madhya Pradesh to Uttar Pradesh. 

Bihar Governor Lalji Tandon was shifted to Madhya Pradesh and Fagu Chowhan was appointed as Bihar Governor. Similarly, the Centre appointed Jagdeep Dhankhar as West Bengal Governor, Ramesh Bayan as Tripura Governor, RN Ravi as the Governor of Nagaland.
