Distinguished Young Women of Pennsylvania hosting 61st annual Scholarship Program

The Distinguished Young Women of Pennsylvania held their 61st annual Scholarship Program at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in New Castle on Saturday evening.
Lawrence County's Distinguished Young Woman, Aaliyah Smith, won Pennsylvania’s Distinguished Young Women’s Program.
The program provides young women with scholarship funds to further their education. The girls are judged on interview skills, scholarship, talent, fitness and self-expression.
Pittsburgh's Action News 4 reporter Chandi Chapman was the emcee of the event.
Distinguished Young Women has impacted the lives of more than 770,000 young women since 1958.
Their mission is to empower high school young women by providing scholarship opportunities, developing self-confidence and teaching crucial life skills needed for success in college and beyond.
