DeadZed review: Zombie shooter game with good graphics sound effects

DeadZed by Not Doppler Studios is a first-person zombie shooter. The storyline is similar to most zombie games and movies: the dead have risen and you have to protect yourself from being eaten. What makes DeadZed different is that it’s not an open world game.

You are perched on top of your home with weapons and you have to kill the oncoming zombie horde. With a headshot, zombies die instantly. Otherwise, it can take as many as 8 bullets to drop them (ammo is limited). Its not as simple as it sounds because zombies move at different speeds and sway around, so headshots are difficult.

Plus, you can only keep two weapons per round - both take time to reload when the ammo runs out, so you have to be careful. Each zombie that manages to reach you will damage your safe location.

In the initial levels, its easy to keep them at bay but in later levels, zombie numbers increase and they move faster. After each mission, you earn XP points, money as well as coins – these can be used to upgrade weapons.

Each level has to be played 10 times to unlock the next level (the weather keeps changing to keep things fresh). Graphics are good and so are the matching eerie sound effects. The only thing that might bother you are the full-screen ads that appear after every few levels – there is no way to remove ads.
