Manchester United are going to have to make major changes if they want to break back into the Premier League's top four.

United have finished outside the top four for the third time in four seasons earlier this year.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now has his first big test as United manager as he looks to rebuild the squad and turn them into a Champions League outfit once again.

So far this summer, United have signed Daniel James from Swansea City and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

But more arrivals are expected to be on the horizon.

Here at Mirror Sport, we have listed five other transfer targets for the Red Devils - and rated how likely the deals are to happen.

Harry Maguire

Club: Leicester City

Likelihood of signing: 4/10

The 26-year-old defender has been United’s main target this summer with Leicester City receiving bids in the region of £70million.

Maguire made 31 Premier League appearances for Leicester in the 2018-2019 season.

However, with two rejected bids, this may have hampered United’s chances of signing the Foxes player.

Latest reports claim Maguire is keen on playing at the “Theatre of Dreams” and sees himself as a United captain of the future.

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers told talkSPORT: “Harry is a top class player and of course this has attracted interest, with two bids coming in.

“But they are nowhere near to meeting the valuation of the club. Harry is relaxed about it, we are, he’s been absolutely brilliant.

“Any conversation with me and a player would be private really.”

Sean Longstaff

Club: Newcastle

Likelihood of signing: 6/10

Longstaff, 21, has been another player of interest by Solskjaer although his £50m price-tag has claimed to put United off bidding for the youngster.

The Newcastle player has only featured in a handful of Premier League games, but has tons of potential.

In an interview with the Chronicle Live, Longstaff said: “I am trying to get fit - that’s all I focus on, I am still a Newcastle player.”

According to Sky Sports, Newcastle’s new manager Steve Bruce will make it clear to Longstaff that he does not want him leave the club this summer.

Longstaff admits he’s “flattered” to have been linked with a teams statue of United, but remains focused on playing for Newcastle.

“This just shows how far I’ve come,” he said last month.

“If someone told us at the start of the season that by the end of it you’d be linked with these teams I’d have laughed at them but it’s nice, it’s flattering.”

Bruno Fernandes

Club: Sporting Lisbon

Likelihood of signing: 5/10

The Portuguese midfielder has been heavily linked to Old Trafford for the large part of the summer transfer window.

Fernandes has had the backing by the majority of United fans after netting 31 goals for Sporting Lisbon last term.

Sporting are thought to want £54m from United to capture the 24-year-old.

The deal for Fernandes suggests that Paul Pogba could be on his way out the door amid interest from Real Madrid and his former side Juventus .

Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola, has urged United to let the Frenchman leave the club.

“Pogba has done nothing wrong,” Raiola told talkSPORT.

“He has been respectful and professional in every way and always, the club has known his feeling for a long time.

“Hopefully there will be soon a satisfying solution for all parties.”

Regardless, United do need a new central midfielder after losing the services of Ander Herrera.

Club: Juventus

Likelihood of signing: 3/10

Maguire isn’t the only centre-half option the Red Devils are looking at, as the Juventus defender Merit Demiral remains another target.

The Turkish international, 21, only signed for the Serie A champions from Sassuolo on a five-year deal two weeks ago.

It's been reported that the Italian giants want at least £35m for the player who has also received interest from Atletico Madrid.

Demerol recently said: “When I was young I always followed Nemanja Vidic at Manchester United . I used to watch clips of him on the internet.

“He’s still my idol even if he has retired. He was brave, a warrior, never gave up and was a true leader.”

Demerol has become a regular who has featured in the Turkish national team setup and was widely praised for his individual performance in the 2-0 victory over France in the Euro 2020 Group H qualifier.

Dani Olmo

Club: Dinamo Zagreb

Likelihood of signing: 6/10

Dani Olmo has recently said he is not ruling out a transfer to any club, as he continues to be linked to move to Manchester United.

Olmo, 21, has been rumoured as a target to other clubs including Bayern Munich, Tottenham , Atletico Madrid and PSG.

The Spanish U21 international scored or assisted 31 goals in 44 appearances for Zagreb last season.

Bundesliga side Bayern Leverkusen have reportedly already made a bid of £22m - £13m less than United’s reported bid for the youngster.

When asked about the ongoing speculation surrounding his future, Olmo said: “Very simple - I want a club a club where I will play.” he told Croatian publication T-Portal.

“Because I am still young and for me it is most important that I have minutes.”

Olmo insisted any transfer negotiations are being dealt with by his agent and father.

“Honesty, I know absolutely nothing about it,” he said.

“It’s for my manager Andy Bara and my dad.

“However, I’m not burdened by this.”
