New Municipal Act will ensure discipline

Hyderabad: MA&UD Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar reacting to the transfer of municipal employees embedded in the new
Municipal Act said that it “will bring in discipline, increase accountability and service delivery”. On Saturday, Arvind took to twitter to share snippets of the Municipal Act.

He wrote, “A common municipal services for Telangana state shall have the power to transfer them from within any ULBs including GHMC and HMDA.”

He pointed that the use of online delivery mechanism and Self Certification to address Citizen’s pain points is aimed at zero corruption and time bound delivery.

Pointing about the QR code-based door numbering in all municipalities, the principal secretary said, “It Will be digitally scientific, easy to locate and will hugely help improve sanitation and other civic services. It will help get over a very complex door numbering as existing today.”
