Bengaluru poetry festival sees dance, rap, and live music on stage too
Bengaluru got to see a whole lot of interesting acts on stage over the weekend at the Bengaluru Poetry Festival. What was interesting this year was that performances on stage, along with poetry, played a big factor in engaging the audience. The festival had a lot of interesting names from showbiz who made their presence felt at the event. These included lyricists Raj Shekar, Manoj Muntashir and Irshad Kamil.
Also present was the festival favourite and actress-singer Andrea Jeremiah, who mixed her poetry recitation with some singing to enthrall her audience.

Noted singer TM Krishna’s act on the first evening was another highlight. Adding more culture to the event was a session filled with Bharatanatyam by Deepti Sudhindra and Padmini Ravi. There was also a fair share of Kannada representation in the festival with poet HS Venkateshamurthy inaugurating the festival, writer Prathibha Nandakumar participating on both days and a session on Kannada rap too!
