UP cop arrested for sodomising minor in Mathura

A UP police constable, Kuldeep Singh Jatav, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly indulging in unnatural sexual with a neighbour’s minor son at his rented accommodation in Govardhan area. He was later suspended by the SSP.

AGRA: A UP police constable was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly indulging in unnatural sexual with a neighbour’s minor son at his rented accommodation in Govardhan area in the Mathura district. Kuldeep Singh Jatav was later suspended by the SSP.
According to police, the incident took place in the evening around 4:30. The matter came to light when the victim cried for help.
Subsequently, local residents gathered there and caught him red-handed. They also informed police about the incident.
The accused, Kuldeep (25), was transferred from Maant police station to Govardhan just three months back. The accused hails from Meerut and posted in PRV motorcycle.
An FIR has been registered under Section 377 (unnatural sex) of the IPC and Section 3/4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim’s father at Govardhan police station, said station house officer, Lokesh Bhati.
Talking to TOI, senior superintendent of police (SSP) Shalabh Mathur said that the allegations were found true in the preliminary inquiry. He added that necessary disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against the constable.
