Kozhikode: A man was arrested for showing vulgar videos to a school student at Pullaloor, Narikkuni here on Monday. The youth was identified as Sajeesh, a native of Mayanad. The girl, who was riding a bicycle going to a nearby store was stopped and shown indecent stuff on his mobile by Sajeesh who was coming on a scooter. The student alerted her parents about it and they in turn quickly informed the police.
On the basis of the case by the parents, the police checked the CCTV footage from nearby buildings and gathered sufficient cyber evidences against Sajeesh. He was taken into custody and he admitted to the crime. A case was charged as per POCSO Act 2012. He was produced at District and Sessions Court (POCSO) and remanded.
