Guna 369 is an intense drama: Anagha Maruthora

Apparently, it was the script and the portrayal of her character that drew the actress wanting to be a part of the film.

Anagha Maruthora seems to be quite happy to work in the Telugu film industry, stating that it has been only welcoming. She says that working here was enriching and surreal. “This is the first time I am doing a Telugu film, and the experience has been amazing,” she says. In the film, Guna 369, an action drama, directed by Arjun Jandhyala, Anagha plays the role of Gita, an opinionated yet strong girl who works in a mobile shop. The story is about what happens to her life when she falls in love with the hero (played by Kartikeya Gummikonda).

Apparently, it was the script and the portrayal of her character that drew the actress wanting to be a part of the film.

“Guna 369 is an intense drama that has been interestingly narrated, and my role has several shades in it too. Generally, in Malayalam cinema, actors are made to look realistic in their portrayal and I got the opportunity to be myself in this film, and that was something really interesting,” she reveals.

Describing Arjun, the film’s director, as someone with “clarity of expression”, Anagha states, “He knows what exactly he wants, and that makes an actor’s job a bit easy. He made me feel comfortable on the sets and also gave me the dialogues well in advance.”
