If you played the Lucky Day Lotto recently in Illinois, you might want to check your tickets.
Two jackpot-winning tickets – worth hundreds of thousands of dollars – were sold July 27 and 28 in the Chicago area.
A Shell gas station in Vernon Hills, located at 909 S. Milwaukee Ave., sold a $550,000 winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket in the Saturday midday draw, according to a news release from the Illinois Lottery. The ticket matched all five winning numbers: 2 - 12 - 14 - 23 - 31.
Meanwhile in the city, a $200,000 winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket was sold at Augusta Citgo, located at 1949 W. Augusta Blvd. The ticket matched all five numbers in the Sunday evening draw. The winning numbers are: 2 - 7 - 25 - 43 - 45.
Illinois Lottery officials urged winners to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they call (800) 252-1775 or visit one of the Lottery’s five Prize Centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights.
Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.
Another two winning Lucky Day Lotto tickets – also worth hundreds of thousands of dollars – were sold over the 2019 Fourth of July weekend.
