Nellore: Police arrested a 45-year-old man belonging to Jaladanki Mandal at Musunuru near Kavali on Wednesday allegedly for impregnating his 15-year-old daughter.
According to police, the incident came to light when the mother of the girl came to the Government Area Hospital in Kavali requesting to abort the pregnancy on Tuesday evening.
The medical officer concerned alerted Kavali DSP suspecting foul play behind the pregnancy. The mother gave information about the role of her husband when a woman constable questioned her.
The girl told the constable that her father raped her in May and also in June and threatened to kill her if she revealed it to anyone.
The girl said she revealed the information to her mother on Tuesday after she insisted to know the reasons for her menstrual periods missing.
