Two snatchers on bike target 2 in Shahdara

NEW DELHI: Two men on a black motorbike seem to be on a snatching spree around Shahdara, with two back-to-back incidents reported within a radius of 6km.
In the first incident, the snatchers targeted a woman who was returning after visiting a patient at GTB Hospital. They snatched her gold chain. In the second incident that happened a few hours later, two men on a similar motorbike targeted a youth near the Gandhi Nagar market.
In the first incident, the woman said that around 1.30pm, she had boarded an e-rickshaw for Chauhan Bangar when two youths riding a black motorbike snatched her chain from behind.They pushed her when she tried to resist and fled towards nearby Janta Flats. She could not note down the number of the bike. In the second incident, a man returning from work was robbed of his mobile phone in a similar manner. Both complainants said the men were 20-25 year old and probably riding a Splendour.
Cops are probing whether a similar-looking bike has got stolen in the area.
