Bhopal: The nation’s poor health infrastructure has been highlighted once again in the latest incident that occurred at a government hospital in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam region where Rats gorged on the right foot of patient in coma undergoing treatment at the state facility.
As the Patient Sooraj Bhatti stays unconscious in coma, undergoing treatment at the district hospital, the rodents continued to gorge on his right foot while he is left unattended amidst family members waiting for his revival, India reports.
The incident came to light on Monday when Sooraj’s father visited him at the hospital and noticed Sooraj bleeding from his right foot.
When the shocked father demanded immediately assistance, the hospital staff told the rodents must have gorged on his foot at night.
