Andhra Pradesh: Two dead, one injured in boiler blast in Srikakulam

In yet another industrial accident in north Andhra Pradesh, two workers were killed and one person suffered burn injuries when a boiler exploded at Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals, located at Pydibhimavaram under Ranastalam Mandal in Srikakulam district on Sunday.

VISAKHAPATNAM: In yet another industrial accident in north Andhra Pradesh, two workers were killed and one person suffered burn injuries when a boiler exploded at Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals, located at Pydibhimavaram under Ranastalam Mandal in Srikakulam district on Sunday.
As per the reports, the deceased were identified as Rahul Kumar and Raja Rao. The injured person Sanyasi Rao was admitted to a local hospital.
Sources said that the blast was caused by excess pressure in the boiler unit.
The leaders and activists of CITU blamed the management for the accident and demanded the officials to initiate action against the management. It may be recalled that in June, 2019, two workers were killed and three others suffered burn injuries after a boiler exploded at Balaji Chemical Industries at Bobbili Growth Centre in Vizianagaram district of north Andhra.
