Agra: Pregnant woman found with her throat slit

AGRA: A pregnant woman was found murdered with her throat slit at her residence in Agra.
Identified as Rajni (29), the victim was living along with her husband at a rented accommodation near Nullah Budhan Sayeed, close to the Hariparvat police station. Her body was found in a pool of blood on her bed on Monday morning.
Based on a written complaint given by victim’s father, Tara Chand, an FIR was lodged against victim’s husband Keshav and his first wife Manisha under IPC section 302 (murder).
Station house officer of Hariparvat Praveen Kumar said, “The victim was eight months pregnant. She was found with her throat slit on Monday. Her mobile phone was found under her bed suggesting that the accused might have thrown it away to stop the victim from making a distress call.”
SHO said, “Initial probe suggests that Keshav was married twice. Our team is trying to locate him and his first wife.”
The victim’s body has been sent for autopsy.
