AGRA: Two teenagers drowned in Mathura’s Radharani kund on Sunday morning while taking a dip after completing parikrama for Govardhan Hill.
The deceased were identified as Krishna Goswami (17) and Lakhan Singh (18), hailed from Hathras and were studying at Sri Daulram Inter College. They had come to Mathura along with two other friends, Aakash and Harsh on Saturday night after getting a good result in class IX exam.

According to the victims’ friend Harsh, they all reached Govardhan on Sunday at around 2am and started parikrama of Govardhan hills. Today morning they all went together to take a holy dip in Radharani kund, where the incident occurred.
He said: "Initially Krishna and Lakhan went to take a dip in the kund but they slipped and fell into the water. Aakash jumped into the kund to save them but failed to do so. The diver reached there after hearing our cries but their dead bodies came out,” he added.
