According to officials, the tiger cub was roaming around the jungle alone after being abandoned by its mother due to ill health.

Umaria: A four-month-old tiger cub has died in Dhamokhar range of Bandhavgarh National Park here after being abandoned by its mother.

The cub, that died late Friday night, was undergoing treatment for the past week, said officials.

According to officials, the tiger cub was roaming around the jungle alone after being abandoned by its mother due to ill health when a patrol team of park authorities saw and rescued it.

It was being treated. However, it passed away late on Friday night.

The final rites of the cub were performed in the presence of the park officials on Saturday.
