SECUNDERABAD: Incidence of viral fevers,
dengue and
typhoid has seen a spike in Picket in
Secunderabad Cantonment in the last one week. The Board’s health wing, however said the situation is not alarming.
Residents allege that the health wing is not lifting garbage from colonies leading to spurt in
mosquito menace. “Six dengue cases, 25 typhoid and more than a dozen viral fever cases have been reported from Picket alone.
But, the SCB health wing is not responding though we have told them to take steps,” general secretary of Picket Residential Welfare Society Jetty Umeshwar Rao said in a press conference
They demanded that the SCB keep its dispensaries open round-the-clock and depute medical staff to provide services to patients.
