Stocks in the news: DHFL, CCD, SBI, Parsvnath, Spandana Sphoorty and Sun Pharma

NEW DELHI: Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange were trading 27.50 points, or 0.25 per cent, higher at 11,081.50, indicating a positive start for Dalal Street. Here are a few stocks which may buzz the most in today’s trade:

Coffee Day Enterprises: The company said its debt (excluding Sica! and Magnasoft), post the repayment of proceeds from sale of Global Village, is expected to be around Rs 1,000 crore in the next 45 days. The promoters of the Coffee Day Group plan to restart talks with Coca-Cola for selling a chunk of their stake in the Café Coffee Day (CCD) chain in a bid to cut the group’s debt further, said people with knowledge of the matter.

DHFL: Lenders to Dewan Housing Finance (DHFL) have agreed on a three-level resolution plan that includes conversion of debt to equity and issuance of nonconvertible debentures, steps that will give creditors majority stake in the embattled financier and help resume stalled credit lines, two people with direct knowledge of the negotiations

Parsvnath Developers: The realt estate firm has received Rs 1,200 crore from Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) as per a court order in a dispute related to a project here and said that the amount will be utilised to reduce debt.

Spandana Sphoorty Financial: The NBFC, whose Rs 1,200 crore IPO ran from August 5 to August 7, will list on stock exchanges today. The issue price for the IPO, which received 1.05 times subscription, is set at Rs 856 per share.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries: The drug major said one of its arms has granted an exclusive licence to a subsidiary of China Medical System Holdings Ltd (CMS) to develop and commercialise seven generic products in Mainland China.

Ujjivan Financial: Ujjivan Small Finance Bank (USFB), which caters to the unbanked urban poor and young middle-class customers, filed its draft red herring prospectus with the SEBI for its proposed IPO .

Tata Motors: The automaker has told its suppliers that sales of both its commercial and passenger vehicles — and, in fact, the entire Indian automobile market — could fall by double digits in the ongoing fiscal year.

SBI: Country's largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) is expecting to achieve a credit growth of 12 per cent to 14 per cent this fiscal, its Chairman Rajnish Kumar said here on Sunday.

Mahindra & Mahindra: M&M has retrenched 1,500 temp workers since April and decided to defer 15-20% of investment plans owing to slow offtake, said MD Pawan Goenka.

MBL Infra: The NCLAT has dismissed petitions filed by four dissenting banks against an order of the Kolkata bench of the NCLT approving the resolution plan for MBL Infrastructures submitted by its promoter.

TechM: Software major Tech Mahindra announced the divestment of 73.38 per cent stake in its subsidiary FixStream Networks to US-based Resolve Systems for $2 million (Rs 14.22 crore).
