Leopard diesin Alipurduar after hit & run

Siliguri: A female leopard hit by a vehicle in Alipurduar district died while being rushed to the Jaldapara National Pa-rk rescue centre on Monday.
The injured big cat, a victim of hit and run on NH 17 around 9.30am, fell into a drain beside the highway where a driver of nearby Dalgoan tea estate tried to take her photo. The animal, feeling trapped, sprang at Gopal Chanda, who suffered minor injuries.
