Hurricane center increases likelihood that system develops near Florida coast
The National Hurricane Center has increased the likelihood that an area of showers and storms off the east coast of Florida could develop. Forecasters said there is now a 30 percent chance of development in the next five days and a 10 percent chance of development in the next 48 hours. “Some slow development of this system is possible over the next several days at it moves toward the Florida peninsula and then the southeastern United States,” the NHC said. Whether the system develops or not, it will bring extra rain to Florida this weekend.

The National Hurricane Center has increased the likelihood that an area of showers and storms off the east coast of Florida could develop.
