Nalanda woman who tried to sell kids for her treatment dies

BIHARSHARIF: A Nalanda woman who had tried to sell her kids for her treatment on August 11, died at Biharsharif sadar hospital on Wednesday. She was suffering from tuberculosis.
Following reports that the woman, Sonam Devi, had tried to sell her six-year-old daughter and two-year-old son for Rs 50,000 for her treatment, the district administration got her admitted to Biharsharif sadar hospital.Her kids, who were found severely anaemic, were also admitted to the paediatric department of the sadar hospital. The woman's second husband had abandoned her after she was diagnosed with tuberculosis.
