ALAPPUZHA: Following the arrest of Bharat Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) chief Thushar Vellapally in Ajman, UAE on Wednesday, his father Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappaly Natesan said that he would fight his son's case legally and hoped that he would get a bail on Thursday.
“I feel my son was implicated deliberately. We are trying to bring him out of the jail with the help of our people working there,” Natesan said.
He was speaking to TOI following news reports that his son and Bharat Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) leader Thushar Vellappally was arrested in UAE’s Ajman in connection with a cheque bounce case. Sources said the case dated back to 2009 when he was running a construction business in Ajman. The complainant has reportedly furnished a cheque now out of circulation to make the claim.
Thushar Vellappally was the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate from the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
