Two taken to hospital after Bargoed motorcycle crash

Emergency services were called to Bargoed today after a road traffic accident involving two motorcycles.

The incident happened around 1.20pm on McDonnell Road.

Two patients were taken to hospital by ambulance and one person received oxygen therapy from the fire service.

Air Ambulance was also on scene.

The fire service left the scene at 1..32pm.

Three people taken to hospital after Carmarthen crash

Welsh Ambulance Service has confirmed three people were taken to hospital after a crash at Natycaws, Carmarthen on Saturday.

Patients were taken to Glangwili Hospital following the incident which involved two vehicles.

The exact nature of the injuries remains unclear.

23-year-old man dies after alleged attack in Tenerife

A 23-year-old Rhyl man with a “cracking smile” has died after allegedly being attacked in Tenerife, it has been reported.

The incident happened in the island’s capital of Santa Cruz on August 20, and saw Michael Lewis, who was also known as Liam Boland or “Brillo” suffer head injuries.

He was taken to the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria where he died two days later. Read on...

Police in Llanelli are appealing for information about an assault that took place in the early hours of this morning.

The incident occurred on the field at the back of Prendergast Street at 1.40am.

It may turn cloudy towards the coast this afternoon, according to the latest Met Office forecast for Wales.

Temperatures are expected to reach 28C today.

Forecasters say low cloud and fog along the coast will move further inland as the evening wears on.

Woman suffered 'serious injuries' falling down cliff in the Gower

A woman was taken to hospital with “serious injuries” after falling down a cliff on to rocks in the Gower.

Emergency services were called to the incident at Mewslade Bay in Rhossili just after 6pm on Saturday, August 24.

A spokesman for the Coastguard said: “A female had fallen 15ft down the side of the cliff on to rocks and sustained serious injuries.”

She was airlifted to Cardiff and taken to the University Hospital of Wales by ambulance.

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed they arrived at the hospital at around 6.45pm.

Vast amount of alcohol seized from underage drinkers on GCSE results night

A “large amount” of alcohol was seized from underage drinkers out celebrating on GCSE results night.

According to South Wales Police, the booze was confiscated from underage drinkers in a special operation run in the Gower and Mumbles on Thursday night.

Dyfed-Powys Police also said it seized three litres of vodka, one litre of cherry sours, one litre of cider, two bottles of wine, 26 bottles of beer and 24 individual shots in Haverfordwest. Read on...

Missing man was last seen at Gilfach Goch Social Club

South Wales Police are appealing for information to help them find Luke Button.

He was last seen at around 12.15am on August 25 at Gilfach Goch Social Club.

He is described as white, approximately 6ft 5in tall, of slim build, with short grey hair and a beard.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a blue and white shirt, light blue jeans and white trainers.

A dry and sunny day with more sunshine forecast for tomorrow

It will be a dry and sunny day across the country, according to the latest Met Office forecast for Wales.

Forecasters say it may turn cloudy at times towards the coast, especially later this afternoon and into the evening.

It will feel very warm in the sunshine with highs of 28C.

He has been reported missing from the Newtown area.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101 with reference 330 of August 24.

The M48 Severn Bridge is closed in both directions

This is due to the Severn Bridge Half Marathon.

The closure is between Junction One with the B4461 at Aust and Junction Two with the Wye Valley Link Road at Chepstow.

The half marathon starts at 9am and the 10k at 10am. The bridge is expected to re-open by 11.30am.
