Belagavi: Ex-MLC Praveen Chandru Kamlani dies

BELAGAVI: Former MLC Praveen Chandru Kamlani, 83, died after a brief illness at KLE Hospital on Monday.
He was an MLC during the Devraj Urs government between 1971 and 78 and was the chairperson of Legislature Assurance Committee. She had also served as the senate member of Karnatak University, Dharwad, and chairperson of Shantesha Group of Companies in Belagavi and Hubballi.
Hailing from Dharwad, the Kamlani family shifted to Belagavi two years ago. The final rites were held at Sadashivnagar burial ground in the afternoon.
