Private aircraft crashes in Aligarh, no casualties

A private aircraft VT-AVV with six people on board crashed at Dhanipur airstrip in Aligarh district on Tuesday. No casualties were reported in the incident.

ALIGARH: A private aircraft VT-AVV with six people on board crashed at Dhanipur airstrip in Aligarh district on Tuesday. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Talking to TOI, district magistrate CB Singh said that the incident happened at around 9am, when the private nine-seater aircraft crashed while landing. Singh said the mishap took place after the aircraft got entangled in 33,000KV high-tension electric wires and fell on the ground before catching fire.

The aircraft was coming from Delhi to Aligarh for repair work, said the DM.

He said that a show cause notice will be issued to Air Charter Services (ACS), as they landed the aircraft without informing to the air traffic control. He said, inquiry will be set up to find out the reasons of this mishap.
