RAJKOT: The state-run airline Air India (AI) has announced daily Diu-Mumbai flight service in its winter schedule. Currently, the airlines operates for four days in a week on this route.
According to Airport Authority of India (AAI) at Diu they have got confirmation from operators who have shown interest in operating flight services seven days a week during winter. The services are expected to begin from last week of October.
Meanwhile, the operation of Diu-Ahmedabad flight has been suspended since last one week.
The Air Deccan that operates the flight has suspended operations due to technical reasons. Sources said that Air Deccan is also mulling to begin Diu-Surat operation in coming days.
