Muzaffarpur police recover bullet-riddled bodies of two youths
MUZAFFARPUR: Motipur police on Wednesday recovered bullet-riddled bodies of two youths from the bank of Maniyari river near Bathna village under the same police station, nearly 35 km away from the district headquarters.
Police said the youths were probably killed in a gang war. DSP (west) Krishna Murari Prasad said, “Some of the villagers informed about the bodies lying along the bank of Maniyari river.
Our men visited the spot and recovered them. One them has been identified as a notorious criminal Manish Kumar alias Bhulla of Fenhara in neighbouring East Champaran district. He was an active member of a vehicle lifters’ gang operating in entire north Bihar. We are trying to ascertain the identity of the other youth.”
Prasad said that Manish was wanted in more than two dozen cases of murder, loot and vehicle theft by Fenhara, Chakia and Sheohar police. “He has come out on bail from the prison hardly two weeks ago. Our primary investigations indicate that he has been killed either in gang war or dispute over distribution of booty of loot. Something concrete can be said only after completion of the investigation,” said the officer.
The bodies have been sent to SKMCH for postmortem. The recovery of two dead bodies has created terror in the minds of villagers.
