BHOPAL: Two persons wanted in connection with the ‘Sonbhadra massacre’ were arrested from Singrauli district of the state on Friday in a joint operation by police teams from Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
The accused, identified as Thirath Prasad Bhurtia, (52) and Munni Lal Singh, (42), were arrested during a late night operation at Bagdara village. They were hiding in a house located in an area bordering the two states.

More than 24 people were injured during the clash. The incident had taken place in Murtiya village and the land dispute was between the Gujjar and Gond communities. UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath had asked the DGP to personally monitor the case.
