HYDERABAD: The
Congress and
BJP launched a vitriolic attack against
CM K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday with senior leaders sharing the dais at a public meeting in Karimnagar district.
TPCC working presidents - A Revanth Reddy and Ponnam Prabhakar shared the dais with BJP MP Bandi Sanjay and others in support of people of 14 villages facing submergence due to the
Mid Manair dam. The meeting was held near Kodurupaka in the undivided Karimnagar district.
Though the public meeting was organised by the joint action committee of villagers and attended by leaders of TDP, TJS, CPI and CPM to demand rehabilitation for the oustees, it was the coming together of Congress and BJP with two different ideologies that should send alarm bells ringing in the ruling TRS.
This was the second time in the last two months the leaders of the two parties shared the dais - the first one being a protest against the demolition of secretariat buildings and Irrum Manzil.
