Akbaruddin owaisi urges Jagan to close Adoni case

Hyderabad: Stating that several persons were booked in connection with communal riots in Adoni town in 2011 during Ganesh festival, AIMIM floor leader in Telangana Assembly Akbar Uddin Owaisi on Sunday urged AP Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to instruct the police to close the case as persons of both the communities sorted out the issue peacefully.

In a letter to the AP Chief Minister, Owaisi stated though there were no fresh incidents after the peaceful settlement, the people of both the communities were receiving summons unnecessarily and rowdy sheets were also opened against them. All these people hail from poor families and suffering a lot due to harassment by police personnel.

He requested the CM Jagan to issue instructions to the authorities concerned to stop issuing summons by withdrawing all the cases registered against the people of both the communities on humanitarian grounds.
