The Baroda chapter of the Indian Institute of Metals (IIM) organised a one day awareness programme on corrosion control and management (CCM-2019) on Saturday.

VADODARA: The Baroda chapter of the Indian Institute of Metals (IIM) organised a one day awareness programme on corrosion control and management (CCM-2019) on Saturday.
IIM is an organization is one of the largest association of scientists, engineers, technologists, academicians, managers and industrialists in the field of metallurgy and materials engineering in the country.
More than 75 participants from various industries, academic and research institutions from Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and various cities of Gujarat including Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Surat and Ankleshwar participated in CCM-2019.

While professor K Baba Pai, director of ITM Universe, Vadodara talked on the theme of 'corrosion basics and corrosion manifestation', the theme of 'corrosion control in engineering design' was addressed by Dr G H Thanki, director and principal consultant of Corrosion Control and Monitoring Consultancy, Vadodara.
Dr K Elaya Perumal, a corrosion and metallurgical consultant from Coimbatore presented a case study on corrosion failure while the theme of 'accelerated electro chemical corrosion testing technique - selection for plant materials' was addressed by Dr Sunil Kahar, assistant professor at M S University and chairman of Baroda chapter of IIM.
