SASARAM: A forensic science laboratory team on Tuesday collected evidence from the private school where a Class V student was found dead in the washroom under mysterious circumstances at Kudra in Kaimur district on Monday.
The washroom where 11-year-old Aditya Kumar was found dead, was sealed by the police on Monday. The school has been closed for an indefinite period, a senior police officer said and added that the postmortem report was awaited.

Kudra SHO Ranveer Kumar said the deceased’s father, Munna Roy, had lodged an FIR against school director Sandeep Sinha, principal Harishankar Sinha and teachers Avinash Kumar, Parveen Alam, Vishal Malhotra, Suman Kumari and Chandani Kumari for his son’s alleged murder. Roy alleged that his son was tortured by the principal and teachers of the school. Roy said he had earlier lodged complaints with the school administration, but to no avail.
Mohania SDPO Raghunath Singh said all the seven accused were absconding. Aditya mother Laxmi Devi is a teacher in the same school. “She was on leave on Monday for Teej,” he said.
Sources said Aditya was found dead by his sister Chhaya, a student of Class VIII in the same school. She had started searching for him after the dismissal of the class on Monday. His school bag was lying on the table in his classroom.
The washroom meant for the teaching staff only is on the top floor of the building.
Agitated over the incident, local residents had blocked NH-2 for more than two hours and also ransacked the school building.

This is the third such incident in the district in the last one week. On August 28, a Class X student died at a private school at Indrapuri near Dehri-on-Sone in Rohtas district under mysterious circumstances. The school authorities said the boy died due to poisonous bite of some insect and he was admitted to the school hospital. However, postmortem could not be performed as the deceased’s family took the body on their own will for last rites.
The third incident is of Sunday when a girl student in Kasturba Gandhi school at Siyo in Kaimur district died under mysterious circumstances. The victim, a Class VI student, was also declared brought dead by the doctors at the Bhabhua sadar hospital.
