Most of the complaints were related to late possession of housing units, charging extra money but not increasing the floor area ratio and non-compliance of fire safety norms.

Of 18,000 complaints,10,500 have been resolved, while redressal of the rest is in process.
On one year completion of UPRERA, its chairperson Rajive Kumar chaired a meeting with officials and sought a progress report of pending complaints.
Kumar said the builder can start the construction work without seeking nod from the local development body if he has already sought fire safety and electricity certificates and permission for installing lift from LESA.
He said, “After Lucknow, we are planning a drone survey in other cities to identify such rogue housing projects.”
