UP: Mathura youth beaten to death in Noida

AGRA: A 24-year-old youth, who hailed from Nera village in UP's Mathura district, was allegedly beaten to death by a group of youths in Noida, where he was working in a private firm.
The cause of clash was not immediately known as the youth was staying alone in a rented accommodation.
A case has been registered under Section 302 (murder) against two identified and several unidentified persons at Phase II police station.
According to the deceased’s uncle, Satveer Singh, also a village head in Mathura, his nephew, Amit Kumar, had been staying in Mamura for almost three years after completing Btech from Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra. He said that he was working in a company, Karvy.
Singh told TOI that one of his friends Mohit along with his friend Digambar came to meet Amit last night around 7pm. Amit’s elder brother Ajeet Kumar was also present there, as he was visiting the former. According to Ajit, Mohit forced Amit to come out with him for consuming liquor and they all went together. When Amit did not return home for long, Ajeet went out to search for him and saw Mohit and his friends beating him.
Ajeet said that he got scared seeing several people were beating his brother mercilessly. Meanwhile, police reached the spot and the assailants ran away from there. Police immediately took the victim to a private hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
