Lone female Common Leopard at Manipur Zoo gets a male partner

Imphal, September 06 2019:
Manipur Zoological Garden has acquired a male Common Leopard from Assam Zoo to pair with a female Common Leopard the zoo has.
The 4-year-old male Common Leopard was brought here under Animal Exchange Programme after approval from the Central Zoo Authority, New Delhi by a team of Manipur Zoo led by Kh Loteshore Singh, Range Forest Officer, said a statement of the Manipur Zoological Garden.
The newly acquired animal is presently kept under observation at the quarantine cubicle of Veterinary Hospital of Manipur Zoo.
It will be available for public view after three weeks of quarantine period, it said.
