Bengaluru: Mandya MP Sumalatha complains of lewd online comments

BENGALURU: Mandya MP Sumalatha Ambareesh met Bengaluru police commissioner Bhaskar Rao on Friday and sought legal action against those allegedly defaming her on social media.
Sumalatha said unidentified miscreants were operating a Facebook account in her name and posting defamatory and derogatory content. Rao asked the cybercrime cell to look into her complaint.
Sumalatha later told mediapersons lewd and filthy comments were posted against her on social media during the Lok Sabha elections."Though many posts were deleted, one fake Facebook account is still active. These acts are nothing but an attempt to defame me," she alleged.
