Co-working spaces provider Workafella has partnered with TiE Chennai and The Chennai Angels to identify, mentor and fund startups across all the Workafella centres in India.

CHENNAI: Co-working spaces provider Workafella has partnered with TiE Chennai and The Chennai Angels to identify, mentor and fund startups across all the Workafella centres in India.
With this initiative, Workafella, TiE and The Chennai Angels aim to help over 500 startups across the country.
TiE Chennai will mentor entrepreneurs at Workafella in building and scaling startups and will hold regular workshops and events at Workafella bringing charter members, entrepreneurs, business leaders, venture capitalists, SMEs and government bodies together.

Angel investor group The Chennai Angels will help entrepreneurs at all Workafella centres through monetary support. Besides providing capital, The Chennai Angels will also mentor them and facilitate networking.
Workafella said they have already been motivating the startup community through community-sharing platform ‘Namaste Workafella,’ The platform has been bringing in experts, activists, environmentalists, influencers and others to inspire and educate through their insights and stories.
“Under these partnerships with both TiE Chennai and The Chennai Angels, we aim to guide entrepreneurs at Workafella in shaping their organisations by training them with the required management skill sets and techniques," Gurbinder Rattha, founder and MD, Workafella said.
"As part of our focus initiatives, TiE Chennai has plans to organise a few of our monthly events at Workafella, the largest co-working space provider in the city that offers top of the line infrastructure support which is crucial for every emerging startup," Akhila Rajeshwar, executive director, TiE Chennai, said.
