Two killed in Nalanda district

BIHARSHARIF: Two persons, including a woman, were shot dead and another sustained serious injuries in two separate incidents in Nalanda on Sunday evening.
Malana panchayat’s former mukhiya Dinesh Kumar and his son Nitish Kumar allegedly opened fire at one Malti Devi in the village under Hilsa police station. She was first taken to Biharsharif Sadar hospital where doctors referred her to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).She succumbed to her injuries late Sunday night.
Hilsa DSP Imteyaz Ahmad said Malti’s husband Siya Sharan has an FIR against Dinesh and accused him of sexual harassment of his wife.
In another incident, unidentified miscreants indiscriminately fired at two brothers — Shashi Paswan and Pardeep Paswan — in a field near Imli Bigha village under Vena police station on Sunday evening. The elder sibling, Shashi, succumbed to injuries on way to the hospital, while Pradeep was admitted to PMCH in serious condition.
A police officer said an FIR was lodged in this connection and the police were trying to ascertain the cause of crime.
