2 from Kolkata held with 28kg silver in Secunderabad

SECUNDERABAD: Following a tip off, Gopalpuram police raided a lodge near Secunderabad Railway station and recovered 28 kg silver ornaments from two persons.
Hyderabad police said that during the Sunday night raid they arrested two persons — Sanjay Kumar and Prithvi Raj — from Kolkata and seized 28 kg of silver ornaments.
When they were asked to produce documents for the ornaments, the duo failed to do so.They said they had come to supply silver ornaments to few jewellers in Pot Market area. Later, the police handed them to officials of income tax department along with the seized ornaments. The IT department will probe it further, before taking a decision on what action to be taken.
