Dimapur, Sep. 9 (EMN): The president of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) K Therie has met with All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Sonia Gandhi and apprised her of the recent developments regarding “Nagaland political issue.”
A statement from the NPCC chief said that he had informed Gandhi about the desire of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to solve the political problem within three months and that ‘it also appears the government of India has informed the negotiating teams and the three months’ time is given for consideration.’
“I have also conveyed that Nagas are equally desirous of early solution and of the state Congress’ willingness to support the solution,” read the statement, adding that she was also apprised of people want — peace, development and opportunities.
“The AICC president gave a patient hearing and had shown her deep concern for the issues,” added the statement.
