Personal touch “I believe that any space I spend a lot of time in — be it my office or my house — should have a sophisticated sense of style. I also believe in keeping these spaces simple because life and work can be so hectic. My room will have a simplicity that’s deliberate, but I do have my quirks and the space will reflect that too. For instance, I have mirrors that have the light inside; it’s made in a way that the light will be reflected outside. It’s eccentric but that’s me.
“I love greenery, so I have a lot of plants around me. I have a couple of tall palm trees, which aren’t usually seen in city houses, in my garden. It gives me a feeling of open green space as opposed to a manicured garden.
“The bedroom furniture is vintage, winged chairs with a colonial touch. My wardrobe is eclectic and I am particular about the way I dress, so I also have lots of wardrobe space.”

Picture perfect “My bedroom has photographs of my parents, Arun and Beena, who don’t live with me, so I keep their photos with me. There are also pictures of my soulmates, Navkirat Sidhi and Vijendra Bhardwaj, all the people I want to be surrounded by.”
“I don’t like to have negative people in my space. All my friends are allowed in. In fact, my close friends literally live here because I love having them around. Though I am a private person, I am very open with people in my innermost circle. I recently celebrated my 40th birthday and had my friends partying all over my house. The energy was great, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing host.”

TV is a must-have “I have a large TV in my bedroom; it’s something I cannot do without. I also love my carpet seating, which is a comfort zone. I love sprawling out there after a hectic day.”
Sign outside my door “I would say ‘Let’s fly together’, because it’s great to open your room and your mind and let it soar with imagination and ideas that you can discuss with people whose vibes are the same as yours.”

Gothic fantasies “My new store is a fantasy place to lose myself in. It’s got mirrors, lights, sculptures, murals and furniture with bird motifs. There is a tree in the middle of the store and unusual art installations. It’s a surrealistic world, which is another part of me.”
