Congress to raise Telangana government’s ‘failures’ in assembly
CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka
HYDERABAD: The Congress will corner the TRS government in the legislative assembly for failing to implement crop loan waiver for farmers and supply urea to them in time and plunging the state into a debt trap.
“Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao does not have money for either crop loan waiver or major irrigation projects. His government will borrow further. We will inform the people on the government’s failures in the assembly and also elsewhere,” CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said on Thursday.

Vikramarka said the government allocated Rs 6,000 crore for crop loan waiver when the requirement was over Rs 35,000 crore. The Congress would also raise as how the government was not able to manage the state’s finances and slashed funding for the minority budget.
Party MLAs led by Vikramarka discussed the strategy to be adopted in the assembly and decided to hit the road to highlight the government’s failures if they were denied opportunity or not given time to speak in the assembly. Vikramarka asked party leaders to cull out corruption details in every department.
“KCR is trying to conceal his failures on managing the finances by blaming the economic slowdown. Due to financial indiscipline, debt on every citizen of Telangana has been increasing,” he remarked.
The government has issued orders allocating the crucial portfolios held by KCR to some of his ministers like T Harish Rao and KT Rama Rao, to counter the opposition in the budget session.
The party formed committees led by senior leaders to look into corruption charges in various projects and the list of promises made by the chief minister since 2014 elections
