The South African cricket team that arrived in Dharamshala a couple of days back had a day out on Friday ahead of the three-match T20I series against India that is set to begin on September 15 (Sunday).

The South African team players took to the streets of McLeodganj, a suburb of Dharamshala in Kangra that is known for its Tibetan culture, and roamed around in the market and were seen shopping at local shops.

South Africa team had arrived in the country on September 11 with Quinton de Kock named skipper for the T20I series in place of Faf du Plessis. This will be South Africa's first match after their dismal performance in the ICC Men's World Cup.

India and South Africa are set to play 3-match T20I series that will be followed by a 3-match Test series that begins in Visakhapatnam from October 2 as the Proteas open their ICC World Test Championship campaign.

The South African team consist of young players with Quinton de Kock and Ragiso Rabada being the most experienced players.

The Indian team have rested the senior pace trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar while all-rounder Hardik Pandya is back after being rested for the West Indies series. The team management as well as the senior selection committee has been very cautious in managing the workload of the players.

India's squad for 3 T20Is: Virat Kohli (Captain), Rohit Sharma (vice-captain), Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Krunal Pandya, Washington Sundar, Rahul Chahar, Khaleel Ahmed, Deepak Chahar, and Navdeep Saini.
