Delhi woman catches husband cheating

AHMEDABAD: Virendra Kashyap, 45, a resident of New Delhi, never imagined that his wife would turn up at the hotel where he was spending the night with another woman, but that was exactly what happened on Saturday night, at Silver Palace Hotel in Ranip. The chaos that ensued ended with his wife lodging a police complaint against him and the woman with him in the hotel room.
Police officials said that as Kashyap used his wife’s election card to book the room and passed off Bhumika Dubey as his wife, they have booked him and Dubey under Sections 419 and 294 (KH) of the IPC, for impersonation.
According to complaint lodged by Radhika Kashyap, 41, a resident of New Delhi, she is an office manager for a private company and her husband runs a travel business. She stated in the FIR that on September 12, her husband told her that he was going to Vadodara for some work and left at about 1pm.
The complaint says that the next day Radhika learned that Virendra had moved from Vadodara to Ahmedabad and checked in at Hotel Silver Palace in Ranip. She also came to know that Virendra had booked a room in both their names. This raised her suspicions.
Police officials said she boarded a flight to Ahmedabad on Saturday and by 2pm checked in at another hotel. “She waited till 11pm and went to room number 503 at Hotel Silver Palace.
Virendra, who was with Bhumika in the room, was shocked on seeing Radhika there. He got agitated and started shouting at Radhika. During the commotion, a guest in the adjoining room called the police.
“We brought Virendra, Radhika and Bhumika to Ranip police station and registered a complaint against Virendra and Bhumika,” said a police official.
