Pilot project for delivery of medicines by drones soon in Telangana

A pilot project for delivering essential medicines like anti snake venom (ASV), vaccines and other emergency drugs to remote villages through drones will be launched soon.
The state’s IT and health departments will be working together for the pilot, to be rolled out in Nizamabad, Hyderabad and Karimnagar said Jayesh Ranjan, IT secretary, Government of Telangana. He was speaking at the 9th International Conference on Transforming Healthcare with IT.The drones, developed by Zipline company will each cover 80 km.
