HYDERABAD: The city police have nabbed three
offenders, including a 16-year-old, for pickpocketing and burglary in Alwal and Bowenpally. Police seized 50
cell phones and 5 tolas of
gold ornaments from their possession.
The accused are M Vishal Mohammed Nushrath Pashaand the juvenile from Alwal.
The trio would board RTC buses, steal mobile phones from passengers and then deboard soon after.
The stolen cell phones are sold to various shops at Hong Kong Bazar, Secunderabad and Subash Nagar for Rs 5,000. “The minor and Vishal are habitual offenders and have burgled two houses in the past,” said additional inspector Bowenpally, Akram Baba. The minor was admitted to a juvenile home for burglary in 2017.
